Privacy policy
Last updated: placeholder. This is a starting point, and given how sensitive the data in Kinka is, have a lawyer review a version of this before sharing it externally.
What we store
Your account details (email, display name, profile picture, date of birth given at sign-up), and everything you enter into Kinka: client pseudonyms and notes, session records, survey templates, and the responses your clients submit through survey links. This is stored in Supabase (Postgres + storage), access-controlled so only your own account can read or write your own data.
Sensitive data
Practices, limits and survey answers you or your clients enter can count as sensitive personal data (e.g. relating to sex life) under laws like the GDPR. We treat all of it that way, access-controlled to your account, never used for advertising, and never sold.
Client-facing survey links
A client opening a survey link only ever sees the survey itself, your display name and picture, and your full practices catalog minus anything on your private Limits list. They never see your other clients, sessions, notes, or your Limits list itself.
Private, dom-only data
Session debrief notes and your own “dom's assessment” of a session are never shown to clients; they're visible only in your account.
Who can see your data
Row-level security scopes every table to your account. No other Kinka user can read or write your clients, sessions, surveys, or practices, and you can't see theirs.
Minors
Kinka isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If we learn we have, we'll delete the account and its data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently removes your clients, sessions, surveys and practices; anything in backups ages out on its own retention schedule.
Support & feedback messages
Anything you submit through Support & feedback is stored with your account and an optional contact email, so we can follow up if you ask us to.
Your choices
You can edit or delete client records, sessions, and templates at any time. To close your account entirely or request a data export, use Support & feedback or Settings → Delete account.
